Payment & Data Policy

This policy explains how payments are processed, what financial data we collect, how we protect it, and how long we retain it. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
1. Payment Methods Accepted
We accept the following methods for the advance deposit (30% of package price):
- UPI: GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or any UPI-compatible app — paid to our registered Indian UPI ID.
- Bank Transfer: NEFT, IMPS, or RTGS to our Indian current account (details shared after booking confirmation).
- Card Payments: Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards via our secure 256-bit SSL checkout.
The balance (remaining 70%) is settled on arrival in Kenya via M-Pesa, card (Visa/Mastercard), or cash in Kenyan Shillings or US Dollars.
2. What Payment Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to confirm and reconcile your payment:
- UPI / bank transfers: Transaction reference number (UTR/UPI transaction ID), amount, and date of transfer — as shared by you or visible in our account statement.
- Card payments: Your card's last four digits and billing name (as returned by our payment processor for receipt purposes). We never receive, store, or transmit your full card number, expiry date, or CVV.
3. Card Number Security — What We Do NOT Store
We never store full card numbers, CVV/CVC codes, or card expiry dates on our servers or in any internal records. Card transactions are handled entirely by PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. Our staff cannot access your card details at any point in the transaction process.
4. How Payment Data Is Used
Payment references and transaction IDs are used exclusively to:
- Confirm that your deposit has been received before issuing a booking confirmation
- Reconcile accounts and audit records as required by Indian accounting law
- Resolve payment disputes if they arise
We do not use your payment data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to your booking.
5. No Third-Party Sharing of Financial Data
Payment reference data is not shared with any third party except:
- Our payment processor (for card transactions), which is bound by its own PCI-DSS obligations
- Our chartered accountant or auditor, under professional secrecy obligations
- Tax or regulatory authorities if required by law
6. Data Retention
Payment records (transaction IDs, amounts, dates) are retained for 7 years in compliance with Indian GST and Companies Act record-keeping requirements. After this period, all payment records are securely deleted.
7. Encryption & Security
All payment-related pages on augyrotours.com use 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption. Our backend systems are hosted on Google Firebase, which maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. Access to financial records is restricted to authorised personnel only, protected by multi-factor authentication.
8. Refunds
Refunds are processed in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method:
- UPI / bank transfer refunds: typically within 3–5 business days
- Card refunds: typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank
Refunds will not be issued to a different account or card than the one used for the original payment, except in cases where the original instrument is no longer available.
9. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us via WhatsApp or email before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We aim to resolve all payment disputes within 5 business days. Fraudulent chargeback claims will be contested with supporting transaction evidence.
